Fanny Charrasse has a PhD in sociology from EHESS. She has published several articles in academic journals, as well as Le retour du monde magique. Magnétisme et paradoxes de la modernité, published by La Découverte in 2023, in which she looks at the way in which magical practices (particularly magnetism in France and shamanism in Peru), long suppressed in the name of science, have been legitimised in recent decades, making them increasingly acceptable in modern societies. Currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Université UCLouvain Saint-Louis, she is carrying out research into the therapeutic use of psychedelics in Belgium.
