Grégoire Loïs

Deputy Director of Vigie-Nature

Grégoire Loïs is Deputy Director of Vigie-Nature (Nature Watch), and proposes his naturalist’s interpretation of the living environment. He is opposed to all value judgments in our comprehension of Nature which, in his view, is neutral and does not grant a key role to Humanity. Passionate about Nature since his childhood, Grégoire Loïs went to work at the Natural History Museum almost 25 years ago. He has mainly worked on development and the promotion of naturalist participatory sciences, with a seven-year break at the European Agency for the Environment. He is proud to have transmitted passion, curiosity and empathy for living creatures to his two children and will continue to do so with his grandchildren. His book “What Birds Can Tell Us” has just been published in paperback.
