Biologist, ornithologist, director of the collection "Mondes sauvages", Actes Sud
Biologist, ornithologist and Journalist, Stéphane Durand is also a scientific advisor for the cinema. He has in particular worked with Jacques Perrin and co-written the films « Le Peuple migrateur » [The Migratory People], « Les Ailes de la nature » [The Wings of Nature], « Voyageurs du ciel » [Travellers of the Sky], « Océans » [Oceans] and « Les Saisons » [The Seasons]. He has directed the collection « Mondes Sauvages » [“Wild Worlds”] for Actes Sud, in which his most recent work has been published, « 20 000 ans ou la grande histoire de la nature » [20,000 Years or Nature’s Great Story] which retraces the path of a History of France, away from human beings, or rather, parallel to them. He helps us discover Nature’s fascinating evolution and adaptations as well as her formidable profusion.
