    In his exhibition Climates of Landscape, Bas Smets questions our relationship to the environment and demonstrates how landscape can serve as a tool to transform the city. For him, landscape architecture is not merely about aesthetics or urban design, but an instrument capable of generating microclimates and reinventing the way we inhabit urban environments. In this interview, he lays out the foundations of his approach and reflects on the landscaped park designed for LUMA Arles—one of his major experimental projects—where this vision takes tangible form.
