D-possessions or Like John Malkovich Breaking Up with Michelle Pfeiffer / It’s Beyond my Control
Danai Anesiadou explores the Mandela Effect, a phenomenon where collective memories diverge from reality. Referencing iconic examples such as The Silence of the Lambs and Snow White, the artist questions the gaps between individual memory, collective memory, and reality. Through her approach, she weaves connections to the occult and mythology, central themes in her work, to examine the boundary between the real and the imaginary. She also discusses her exhibition D POSSESSIONS, where she explores spiritual and material energies.
