Bas Smets is the landscape architect who designed the LUMA Arles landscaped park. In creating the garden, Bas imagined how the site would have transformed over the centuries as if it had been left to nature. The Parc des Ateliers lends itself ideally to this idea since it is a space initially made of concrete and gravel, exclusively mineral. In this video, he goes back over the process of creation to imagine this park, up to the planting of the first trees.
