As part of the weeks of Memory in 2018, Robert Mencherini, historian and specialist in labor movements and the Resistance, presented the paths of the Arles railway workers caught up in the dark years, during a conference organized by the Center of Resistance and Deportation of the Arles region on March 16, 2018 at the Parc des Ateliers d'Arles, in partnership with the PACA Institute of Social History of the Railway, the SNCF, the City of Arles and LUMA Arles.
This conference was an opportunity for 10 former Arles railway workers to visit the construction site of The Tower designed by Frank Gehry.
