Composer

“The music I’ve been doing for Dimitri’s slow show started with an integration with a film by Francesca Gabbiani and Manuela Dalle in which the sounds of coyotes were repurposed for musical intent. Using samples mixed with live electronics and guitars a blending of found sounds, coaxed sounds and physical sounds is achieved often with an improvised mood according to the situation at hand. The particular location or place can also inform the music in terms of the found sound involved or the mood of the sounds, even taking from historical moments of the location.
It can be site specific, but it can also be fused with composition that can bring it to the current moment. The slow movement of the dancers and their placement is also a factor in the overall outcome of the music, relying less on district rhythm and more on long pulsing waves of melodic events.“
