Yannick Bouillis

Yannick Bouillis (b. 1972, France) is the founder and artistic director of Offprint, a forum for independent publishers in art, photography design, humanities created in 2010 and part of LUMA Arles since 2015. Beside organizing Offprint (two fairs in London and Paris, several itinerant libraries in Milano and Amsterdam, Offprint bookshops in Arles), Yannick Bouillis is investigating the question of experimental and concerned publishing today.

In 2000, after graduating in Philosophy, Bouillis began his career as a journalist for Asahi Shimbun, specializing in European and Foreign policy. In 2006, he moved to Amsterdam and started Shashin, an independent art book space, specialized in small press publications. In 2016, he published a visual essay on Jacques Derrida and the question of Authorship.

Since 2017, he is publishing and content advisor for “Oh Wonder”, a Dutch platform on green cultures.

Yannick Bouillis regularly consults private and public institutions on publishing and bookselling activities (online and offline).
