    Anthropocene Enquiry in Arles. Exhibitions in Light of the Heat Wave

    How can exhibitions be conceived in the age of the Anthropocene, in a world increasingly shaped by heatwaves, climate disruption, and urban tensions? In Arles, Valérie Disdier explores this pressing question through a sensitive and critical inquiry. An art historian, urban planner, and President of Cité anthropocène, Valérie Disdier shares her reflections on the relationships between art, climate, urbanism, and the politics of cultural forms. She also discusses her work with the École urbaine de Lyon and the À partir de l’Anthropocène book series, which she co-directs with Michel Lussault.

    In a world where the exhibition itself becomes a climate act, how can we present work without deflecting from its stakes? How can we create while accounting for heat, living systems, and planetary limits? A video that reflects on art and the city through the lens of today’s ecological urgencies.
